PIA patient support meeting

Primary Immunodeficiency Assocation (PIA) Archive

What was the PIA?

The Primary Immunodeficiency Association (PiA), was a national registered charity, number 1107233, and the only patient support charity in the UK dedicated to supporting over 5,000 people born with chronic immune disorders, and their families. The PiA was set up in 1990, and provided patient support and advice for over two decades, including an active publication.

The PiA closed in January 2012; however UKPIN is pleased to announce an archive of its publications online, below. UKPIN did not initially publish or approve these documents, and in hosting them now does not take responsibility for their content. We hope however that this archive, and the weblinks to other charities below, will allow some continuity of patient support in the absence of an overarching, UK-wide patient support group.

Please note, 2013 sees the start of a new support organisation for people affected by primary immunodeficiencies, PID UK.
