Excellent first sheet for all documents underlining the need for document control.

Is there a need for a disclaimer or is the statement at the top?

These Guidelines are for the diagnosis and management of the condition stated, for use by Immunologists and Immunology Specialist Nurses.

Clinical judgement supersedes the Guidelines wherever necessary - sufficient?

The plasma is obtained from a large pool of selected donors, at present the immunoglobulin produced is still only licensed for IM use.

Trials have been completed and applications made for the products to be licensed; until then the products used can be prescribed on a named
patient basis.

Patients can be trained to self administer and be prepared for home therapy (see Guidelines on Home Therapy) if they are unsuitable for IVIg
Home therapy.

The dose administered should be calculated on the patient's weight 100mg-150mg/kg a week, the average dose for a 60kg patient who does not
have bronchiectasis being 40ml per week.

To maintain trough levels above 5g/l (some clinicians may keep higher levels), this should be in line with the Consensus document.

References: suggest you add the efficacy trial - Chapel et al as this provides the evidence that it works in terms of infection prevention.
